Who We Are
The company was founded in 2001 and is built on a strong technical background, rooted in the expertise of its founder, Giancarlo Trinei, who was among the first professionals appointed by the Italian government to certify the earliest fiber optic links installed in Italy during the 1980s.
Giancarlo’s strong innovative drive led to the development of numerous groundbreaking products over the years, culminating in 2021 with the launch of our first cable blowing machine, “Lady”.
In 2010, the company began its generational transition, welcoming Matteo, Marta, and Ismael (Marta’s husband) into the business, marking a new phase of growth while preserving the company’s founding values.
Giancarlo Trinei
FOUNDER
I have been working with fiber optics since the early 1980s, when the first fiber optic systems were being deployed in Italy. I took part in the installation and testing of the first submarine cables laid in the country on behalf of the Italian Ministry of Telecommunications. This experience allowed me to witness and contribute to the technological evolution of fiber optics from its earliest stages of adoption in Italy.
Fibernet was founded from a personal desire to challenge myself and to contribute my technical expertise to the field of fiber connectivity.
I’m a practical person, with a passion for logical and resolving solutions. What drives me in my work is the ambition to develop innovative technologies that raise industry standards and make the job easier for those who use our products. I value surrounding myself with skilled technicians and engineers who can bring real added value to our company and our projects.
Matteo Trinei
CEO
I have a deep connection to Italy and, since childhood, I dreamed of becoming an Alitalia pilot — not so much for the role itself, but for the pride of representing our country around the world. I have a strong passion for engines, and I enjoy bringing that distinctive ‘Italian touch’ into our products, inspired by the excellence of our automotive heritage.
I see running a company much like managing a football team: when the organization’s goal is clear and every person is in the right role and given the conditions to perform at their best, the team becomes successful and ambitious goals can be achieved.
The part I enjoy most about my work is helping people unlock their full potential and become true top performers in what they do.

Marta Trinei

I manage customer requests by coordinating the various departments to ensure that clients are satisfied not only with our products, but also with the service provided by Fibernet.
My goal is to have satisfied customers and a team that works in harmony to achieve that objective.
I am a very proactive person; I enjoy interacting with others and sharing with them the passion I have for what I do.
I am proud of what we are building and excited about the vision we have for the company’s future.
Ismael Huerta
SALES DIRECTOR
I enjoy understanding and identifying the technical and commercial challenges encountered in the field — low productivity, time loss, unexpected failures — with the aim of always finding and delivering the best possible solution to our customers. For this reason, I have been passionate about sales since 2005. I believe it is the best way to help others.
To me, FIBERNET represents innovation, technology, quality, and service. It is a remarkable journey and a constant challenge in the pursuit of becoming the best professional and personal version of myself. I am proud to promote, sell, and represent the FIBERNET brand worldwide.
